ARE YOU A CAREGIVER?
If you are, you’re in the good company of 43.5 million adult family caregivers, in the U. S., who care for someone 50+ years of age. Caregiver services were valued at $450 billion per year in 2009- up from $375 billion in year 2007. The non-monetary value of caregivers is so much more important.
Elder care has it’s share of challenges and over the last fifteen or so years I have learned much from the challenges I faced with the elder loved ones I cared for. I would like to help others without them having to learn things the hard way.
To that end in 2014, I wrote my first book, “Daughters on Duty- A Caregiver’s Guide to Managing Medical Matters”
Now in 2024 I have had the opportunity to re-publish my book about caring for elder family with ReadersMagnet. I am very excited to share that Daughters on Duty will be on display with in the ReadersMagnet booth the following upcoming events.
I really appreciate the help and advice that you provided in your book. While I didn’t have the opportunity to be a caregiver for either of my parents or in-laws, I am now in the caregiver role with my husband. I still find your advice helpful!
Thank you Pat. You know well the responsibilities of a caregiver.
